Minister Jwala’s vehicle torched by agitating EPS students in Balkumari

KATHMANDU: In an alarming incident, the vehicle of Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, was set ablaze at Balkumari in Lalitpur.

Reports suggest that the vehicle (Ba 2 Jha 5861), currently assigned to Minister Jwala, was targeted by agitating EPS students who forced the Minister and other protective service officers to abandon the vehicle before setting it on fire.

The EPS students have taken to the streets following the Korean government’s recent announcement, stating that individuals who had previously participated in EPS examinations are now ineligible to fill out forms for new vacancy announcements in the manufacturing sectors. The policy change has fuelled discontent among EPS students, leading to demonstrations.
