KATHMANDU: The World Newar Organization (WNO) is organizing the second World Newar Quiz Contest 2023. The competition will begin August 19 and will last till November 11, according to WNO.
According to WNO, students up to the 12th grade can fill out the form with entry fee until July 27 in order to compete in the competition, which will be held virtually and physically. For teams from countries other than Nepal, the entry fee is $25 per team and NC 1000 per team for teams from Nepal.
The competition will be held among 32 teams, with 4 teams being split into groups, according to WNO. The top two teams from the first round will move on to the second round, and the top team from the second-round advances to the final round. The winning team at each stage will get an 80 US dollar cash reward, with the winning team in the final competition will be given the cash prize of 1,000 US dollars, followed by 800 US dollars, 600 US dollars, and 400 US dollars as consolation prizes.
