By-election : UML’s Daman Bhandari elected Bajhang-1

KATHMANDU: Daman Bhandari, representing the CPN-UML, emerges victorious in the Bajhang-1 by-election securing 11,612 votes. Bhandari clinched the win with a narrow margin, with his closest rival being Abhishek Singh of the Nepali Congress.

The final vote count reveals a margin of 266 votes between Bhandari and Singh, highlighting the tightly contested nature of the electoral race.

Singh garnered 11,346 votes while Janak Buda of CPN (Maoist Center) secured 3,831 votes.

Likewise, Dil Bahadur Singh of CPN (Unified Socialist) got 2,514 votes.

However, the Office of the Election Commission has yet to make a formal announcement.
