Veteran journalist Malla K Sundar honored

KATHMANDU – Newsnepa.com has honored veteran journalist Malla K Sundar.  Pukar Maharjan, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives of Bagmati Province, honored Malla with a letter of honor amid an event held to introduce newsnepa.com in Kathmandu yesterday.

Newsnepa has honored Malla, the former head of the National News Committee and the editor and publisher of Inap Waapau, who started journalism in 2023, appreciating his contribution to the field of journalism. Paubha Sayami, the language editor of Newsnepa.com’s Nepalbhasha section, read the  felicitation certificate that was given to him.

In the program, Minister Maharjan and Hariprabha Khadgi Shrestha, the member of parliament for Bagmati Province, pledged their support for any endeavor that would assist the community.

In the same way, eminent figure Malla K Sundar voiced the opinion that newsnepa.com should advance in light of the current challenges in the journalism industry. Senior journalists Pushkar Bhakta Mathema and Suresh Kiran Manandhar noted the emergence of new obstacles in the journalism industry and stressed the importance of overcoming them.

In the same program, the managing director of newsnepa.com Season Shrestha, publisher Bigen Tuladhar and editor Sharmila Sylvia Razopadhyay, legal advisor Rajan KC gave information about the news portal.

Neetu Dangol, a reporter for Newsnepa.com, served as the program’s moderator while Lok kabi Rajbhai Jakami delivered a poem.

Leading personality Dr. Mahesh Man Shrestha, Chief Administrator of Guthi Sansthan Kiran Shakya, Head of National Land Commission Kathmandu Shyam Krishna Prajapati, cultural expert Dr. Chunda Bajracharya, Professor Prem Shanti Tuladhar and others participated in the program.

NewsNepa, which communicates news in English Nepali and Nepalbhasha, is represented by Jayambu Ranjit for America, Shashi Shrestha for Denmark, Kumar Napit for Germany, Kumar Lama and Birendra Nakarmi for Dubai, and Ramesh Munikar for Nepal.
